Manchin's VORP is enormous. Not sure I've seen anyone defend Sinema.

Literally the highest of any Senator except maybe Tester.

Would you care to lay out a strategy for getting a better senator from West Virginia than Joe Manchin?

That's the Democratic Party's homework, not ours?

They literally hand picked Sinema. Manchin is at least understandable, there is no excusing Sinema.https://thehill.com/homenews/campaign/350164-schumer-tells-sinema-hes-backing-her-in-ariz-senate-race/ …

Joe Manchin is from a crimson state and votes with Biden 95% of the time. Sinema is from a purple state and votes with Biden 98% of the time. Regardless of Pelosi/Schumer's pearl-clutching calls for "civility", take the personalities out of this and the math is the math.

% of the time doesn't really matter when you're the last vote needed, they know a bill that manchin doesn't like won't survive so they don't put bills that won't most of the time.

They believe the party's chance of staying in power is retaining these dems in red districts and states, which is understandable (and true), but the majority of the country is moving further right and left. There will be no moderates left soon.
-
But the majority of voters are in the middle. And we can't keep a majority in Senate w/o cands like this, who we are driving to GOP w more pressure. Mitch is actively courting them. Would be a major loss for us.
