Sure absolutely. And Pound had a lot of NazBol in him right through the War. Though Carpenter seems to show that after Pound returned to Italy he became more straightforwardly far-right. And well before the War he managed to write a truly fascist Christology in verse.

But really I think Pound was mostly a nitwit about politics. I don’t think that’s true of most of the other Anglo-American Modernists –– except Yeats maybe. Williams, Hemingway, Frost, Stevens, Eliot: whether left or right, benign or malign, their politics were at least coherent.
