Most of them are. But Frank Luntz has been good (through research and focus groups) at coming up with language that Republicans have used against Dems to great effect.

I semi-defended this earlier because I knew what they’re trying to do, which is put the stress on the gravity of a “decision” rather than the more flippant “choice.” But man, putting that in chant form just does not work at all

This is absolutely false. The use of language changes in society over time, often in broad demographic groups. Knowing how your word choice will land with your audience is both necessary and increasingly less obvious as you get older and more out of touch.
