Wonderful to see "known biology" and "ensoulment" used in the same tweet.https://twitter.com/JoshHochschild/status/1521855503105769472 …

Isn’t Alito applying known biology, not imposing his own view? We now know that a human being exists (is “ensouled”) upon conception. Our biology replaces the ancient idea of “quickening” (thought to be ensoulment), but the principle that we don’t take human life remains.

The known biology of ensoulment tells us abortion is wrong. Why don't you respect the science!

But it's "classical philosophical biology", Jeet. It's known to embiggen the smallest men.

Philosophical biology is easily the worst concept I've seen in a while.

“Soul” in classical philosophical biology simply means whatever is the difference between a living organism an its (dead) corpse. People argued about the nature of the soul, but not its existence, which is evident. https://twitter.com/JoshHochschild/status/1521874588338171907 …

Little known fact: souls were originally endosymbiotic parasites (aka “thetans”). They got absorbed accidentally by a few cavemen, and managed to merge with the cells. Ever since then, they’ve been a part of every human cell. You can see it on this diagram:pic.twitter.com/lYYV3CADzY
