1. Respectfully, this is wrong: if you genuinely believe that all abortion is murder (as a critical part of GOP coalition does) then you will want to ban Plan B & other birth control. The path to that requires overturning Griswold. This won't end with overturning Roehttps://twitter.com/asymmetricinfo/status/1522020084847460354 …

5. I don't think it's sufficiently understood how radical doctrine of fetal personhood is and all the implications it'll have if it gets enshrined (which is next step): not just for abortion but for birth control, for federalism, for miscarriages, for the autonomy of most women

6. Since people have queried this, I want to clarify that it's not that I think Plan B, IUDs, etc are abortifacients, but rather that the anti-choice people do, which means but their logical they will have to go after Griswold & right to birth control.https://twitter.com/HeerJeet/status/1522053264593858561 …

Lots of fundamentalist "intellectuals" converted to Catholicism in the mid 90s. This has not been a positive development. Many of them are now professional Catholics and write for major publications

Seems confined to the strictest Evangelicals-very traditional confessional Presbyterians or hardcore fundamentalist Baptists for instance-there isn't really any evidence of wider evangelical shift away from birth control and if anything Evangelical TFR is in decline.

The Catholics are driving this bus, too. ACB, Alito, Roberts, Kavanaugh, Thomas. It almost doesn’t matter if the evangelicals are on board, there’s enough Catholics to get there.
