Fascoid is over-egging the pudding but all three storylines involved police/prisons. Hard not to see a (probably subconscious) reaction to the BLM moment. More deeply, Anderson really loves hierarchical uniformed formations. More boy scouts than SS, but still...

As is Isle of Dog. I think (proto)fascism is often Anderson's subject. The case for him isn't that this isn't in the work but that he's aware & satirical about it.
