They’ve moved away from the working class affect, which pushes them left on social theory/academic leftism but right on matters of civility and disposition. On economics, it’s a mixed bag but cancels out.

In a lot of ways we already *have* the big-tent United Front coalition that people keep talking about but the structures of the US political system make it much harder to manage than in a multiparty parliamentary system.

Also, one of the main points of the United Fronts is that they campaign and raise votes separately, in a way that allows them to get more popular support than if they were doing it jointly.
