Refusal to accept existing mRNA vaccines is Chinese governments biggest mistake in pandemic -- and it's wrecking havoc on Chinese society.https://twitter.com/ObsoleteDogma/status/1512816438544896002 …

Pfizer has been waiting for months for China to approve its mRNA vaccines that China’s medical authorities have already said work. China is instead trying to invent its own, preferring to lock its people down in near-starvation than use the Western vaccines they disparaged.

Too invested in national pride . Can't use the ones made by someone else. Gotta have their own ones.

It's not just national pride - it's admitting the Chinese Communist Party got it wrong, which can't be done under any circumstances.

It is also providing the virus billions of new “laboratories” from which new variants will arise. The was no clumsy human attempt to weaponize Covid-19 in China or elsewhere. The natural laboratories of unvaccinated humans are vastly, *vastly* superior.

Reading this thinking about all the poor saps who were going on about the "China virus" but also wouldn't get the Pfizer vaccine.
