3. I think the long run effect of this stuff will be seen mainly in Europe. Imagine you're making policy in Germany in France or Germany. You know half of GOP is Trumpist and Trump or an acolyte could be next president. How much confidence do you have in USA's committments?

There's also a certain portion of the left with similar arguments, (nato pushed putin into it, we don't really know about war crimes, conspiracy etc.) I call them tankies, but see little mention of them anywhere.
