This is really bad. What Airbnb is saying (see discussion of Russian text down thread) is that Russian refugees from Putin's regime can't use Airbnb's services.https://twitter.com/KevinRothrock/status/1511083797344710663 …

Jeet you should do some basic due diligence before sharing this stuff. Rule only affects people LIVING IN Russia and Belarus, not nationals abroad. https://www.airbnb.com/help/article/3211/%D0%BF%D1%80%D0%B8%D0%BE%D1%81%D1%82%D0%B0%D0%BD%D0%BE%D0%B2%D0%BA%D0%B0-%D0%B4%D0%B5%D1%8F%D1%82%D0%B5%D0%BB%D1%8C%D0%BD%D0%BE%D1%81%D1%82%D0%B8-airbnb-%D0%B2-%D1%80%D0%BE%D1%81%D1%81%D0%B8%D0%B8-%D0%B8-%D0%B1%D0%B5%D0%BB%D0%B0%D1%80%D1%83%D1%81%D0%B8 …pic.twitter.com/2VOPxURNh4

Again, what they're saying in English is not what they wrote in Russian. Since they are addressing Russians, that's what should have priority. https://twitter.com/CarlBeijer/status/1511367354105704448 …

I don’t speak Russian but will admit that they may have posted a sloppy translation. Will you admit that what you posted in your original tweet isn’t Airbnb’s official policy?

What I wrote was "What Airbnb is saying (see discussion of Russian text down thread)..." In other words I was writing about what the company is telling Russians. What they tell people in English is really immaterial since this is a policy effecting Russians.
