Big emotions for Zelenskyy from Canadian MPs. He was pretty clear though, right? Guy needs a no-fly zone, not applause.

Political theatrics are for domestic audiences and electoral reasoning. Doing the right thing, if that was the intention of any nation they could have came to an agreement before exploding into a full blown war, which ultimately is costing Ukraine more than anyone else.

This is also true if Ukraine wins on their own and pushes Russia out. If he doesn't take Ukraine he will fall at home and will need to launch nukes to get what he wants to keep his claws on power, at this point. So are you cheering for Russia to win to avoid nuclear war?
-
If Russia attacks Estonia do we get into the fray, knowing it could lead to nuclear war? Playing war on Putin's terms is the road to a holocaust, not standing up to him.

Appeasement to prevent escalation will be where Canada lands then, let's be honest. And let's all hope that works. But...do we get to exalt Zelenskyy as a modern-day Churchill while choosing to be Chamberlain?
-
Churchill and Chamberlain don't apply in world of ICBMs and nukes. Churchill himself urged negotiations for a neutral Europe at various points in late 1940s and early 1950s.

your entire arguement here is based on the premise that nuclear war would only happen in the event of a no-fly zone and would not happen otherwise. I think if we're already that close that's perhaps an overly optimistic point of view.
-
That's not his premise lmfao His premise is that a NFZ would carry a drastically increased chance of a final nuclear exchange, not that a NFZ is the only way to produce that outcome lol

That's the problem. His threat of nuclear holocaust works while he knows NATO would never seriously counter with the same threat, so he take what he wants. If NATO won't act now, do you seriously think it will when it's Estonia, Latvia or Slovakia? The same threats will apply.
-
Ok, so? Why does that mean we need to spark a nuclear exchange?
