The idea behind safe spaces is that marginalized people often self-censor out of fear of how the majority will react. The counterargument is, "Toughen up, Buttercup." So now either conservatives need to take their own advice or declare the campus Federalist Society a safe space.

Also - for the record, if centrist contrarians and conservatives want trigger warnings on their course descriptions (“Warning: most people in this class will strongly disagree with your Ayn Rand adulation”), that seems fine! They can even have safe spaces, like the Supreme Court!
