Doesn't it just show differing thoughts on what the NYT has and does not have an obligation to do? Seems folks in your camp view a high obligation for the editorial staff to take hardline stances on certain partisan issues and base which stories are ran on those stances.

Which is a position that's increasingly common given our partisan landscape, but someone simply preferring opposing views in the NYT opinion section, even if they're morally wrong, doesn't imply they can't also think another troubling thing going on in politics isn't bad.
