Really? Guy makes a sweeping claim, without a single example, and ends by saying he is not an expert on the question? Don't doubt that there is a lot of propaganda at work in a war, but this one-sided claim is not credible.

Ah yes what this situation needs is for us to see the middle ground between the democracy and their wannabe imperialist conquerors.

If it sounds too good to be true (cats chasing snipers!) it likely isn't. Likewise, if it sounds too awful (Chernobyl exploding!) then that may not be true either. But I do believe that convoy really is stuck in the mud.

Some of this is generational: until people live through an experience with wartime media, they are not prepared for the avalanche of lies. Some of it is exploitation of lies by people who know they are lies.
-
hate to break it to but we've been living with wartime propaganda for the last twenty years, so the fact people are still susceptible suggests this faith in propaganda is wilful, not accidental.

In the scheme of things, personally I’d rank sharing a photoshopped picture of a statue as a 1 out of 10 on the “real problem” scale. But you do you.

It's a pretty minor problem (unless you're Russia attempting to perpetrate the same war-crime laden "strategy" in Ukraine that you did in Syria).
