Last night, a friend and I had a nice discussion whether it is better to die from the first nuclear shock (you either burn or die from the collapsing buildings) or die from hunger during the Nuclear Winter. We thought No. 1 was faster and cleaner.
Is there? I'll have to watch (or maybe not watch until after crisis has passed)

This one was quite gloomy. A submarine crew survived nuclear blast that killed everyone on the north hemisphere. Quite detailed. https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0219224/?ref_=filmo_li_tt … IMDB says it's a TV movie, but I remember it was shown on TV (HRT) in several episodes.

The original 1959 movie, Starring: Gregory Peck; Ava Gardner; Fred Astaire; Anthony Perkins, and the book by Nevil Shute are very good. I saw it then, and it has stuck with me, more now.
