It's amazing how many people are forgetting this. I mean advocating policies that don't factor in the existence of nuclear weapons.https://twitter.com/joshtpm/status/1497752909643194371 …

the sanctions are warranted. But don’t forget this. This is developing into a spectacularly dangerous international crisis https://twitter.com/adam_tooze/status/1497702112578441218 …

Whats the alternative? Dialouge is not an option anymore unless Russia backs off.

I’m not sure what you mean here. Sanctions/aid packages are basically THE option in cases where direct military involvement won’t be employed. Are you advocating doing nothing? Full impunity for any nuclear-armed power even when they are the aggressor?

Tweet I'm quoting advocates sanctions. It's other policies that ignore nuclear weapons.

Well The Nation Magazine manages to forget nukes during 1961-63 in pursuit of higher priorities. So that's quite an inspiration.

Exactly zero people who can enact these policies are ignoring nuclear weapons. This is an extreme example of Twitter is not in real life.

Jeet would prefer that we offer them some cake to go with their invasion. Because, don’t everyone forget now, they have nukes.

no, this counts as "forgetting it" because you seem to have forgotten what nuclear weapons ARE (and that Russia has 6000+, more than enough to render earth permanently uninhabitable)
