Are you under the assumption that 1) children Never become adults to make their own decisions? 2) every parent raises their kid the exact same way? I would say to the contrary that a strict upbringing would instill a rebellious personality. The state is inherently immoral.

No he just wants the state to raise your child and for you to be quite and let it happen

This does not mean anything.
-
It means he wishes someone else other than the parents raised the child Which is terrifying

Using the overmighty power of the state to break down other institutions in society and weaken the ties of kinship – all in the name of the state's vision of what is "good", "free", and "equal" – strikes me as just about the most authoritarian thing imaginable
-
As does eviscerating the distinction between the "political" and the "social", which amounts to saying that nothing should be outside the purview of the state and its power to impose its vision of the good onto its subjects

Someone isn't up on their Hannah Arendt: “Every generation, civilization is invaded by barbarians - we call them 'children'.”

I always try to convince other women to work longer hours than their partners, so their men can spend more time with the children. They don't listen.
