Yes I know the Ukrainian government has a different audience. But that doesn't change the reality. You're not asking for reality or denouncing"alarmism." You're asking for false comfort. Maybe the Ukrainian s actually are too. But that's not reality.

Why should I believe that Washington national security types with a long history of pushing threat inflation are more reliable than the government most at risk (and also other European governments, which are notably more cool about this)?
