The whole thing is very puzzling to me since I'm not seeing anyone aside from people obviously moved by other concerns (Don Jr., say) calling for Whoopi Goldberg to be punished.https://twitter.com/AdamSerwer/status/1488963786996334594 …

she shouldn't be suspended, but she also didn't really apologize (see the Colbert interview)
-
She taped the Colbert interview before the apology, I believe.

I said no, but my real response is indifference. She was wrong. She apologized and had ADL rep on. She's a loaded celebrity, she'll be fine.

If you think she was malicious then two weeks is inadequate and if you think she wasn't it isn't an appropriate remedy.

My understanding is that she was suspended when she went on Colbert and doubled down post-apology. Is this not what happened?
-
I think she recorded the Colbert before she apologized!

Since I’m not a member of either affected group, nor a regular viewer of “The View”, I’m not sure my opinion matters here?

suspension-as-discipline by employers is enormously patronizing & gross just in general
