Nazism is a racial misalliance between the immiserated petty bourgeoisie (Hobbits) and the Junkers (elves), while the Orcs represent industrial mass men led into a developmental coalition with engineers (the wizards) by a Bonapartist leader (Sauron).

Which Orcs? Uruk-hai? Or the earlier schlubs? I find it hard to believe in Orcs being mistreated by anyone.

Uruk-hai is labour aristocracy or Stakhanovites

The novel in theory sounds great: a history from below of Middle Earth. Alas, Russian readers tell me it's not a good book (I assume an English translation has to wait till 2043, when copyright expires on LOTR).

It's been available in English since 2010. Btw, Eskov's Orcs have become a part of Russian nationalist mythology where Mordor is equated with Russia. While some keep to his depiction of Orcs as noble and bright, others seem to revel in the crudeness and malevolence of Tolkien's.

That's almost like a parable about nationalism.
