Obviously if you bring in 1,000 trucks into downtown a mid-sized city, you can cause some disruption. But 8,000 people in those trucks isn't a big protest. (Anti-war protest in Montreal 2003 was 100,000 people).

yesterday’s in victoria felt large on the ground but probably featured only 50-100 vehicles and, generously, 500 pedestrians. but the noise, aggression + attention made it feel much larger. that’s what’s running the show
