It's very hard to tell what causes the most damage. GMO crops can save countles people from starvation, and it's very hard to run counterfactuals about what would or wouldn't happen without them in a given place. Same with the ? of the exact causal effect of vaccine misinfohttps://twitter.com/jbrenner2000/status/1487480454198476804 …

Third world food insecurity is also still going on, and has never not been going on. GMO misinfo has led several countries to reject UN food aid because it's GMO. It's just as much a live issue as the pandemic, it's just not in the news because dog bits man
-
Food insecurity has been massively increased by the pandemic. Ending the pandemic as soon as possible would help those 3rd world people you claim to be concerned about. Which is one more reason why spreading lies about vaccines is bad.

Yes it's still going, unlike starvation which was solved decades ago.

Jeet, your outlet referenced the "attempted murder" of Jacob Blake, said he was 'unarmed,' and said the people Rittenhouse shot were 'unarmed.' Such misinfo surely contributed to $1b - $2b in rioting and dozens of deaths. Deplatform The Nation or just these authors?pic.twitter.com/JkOOw7dXLR

I guess I'd just like you to explain the principle by which these authors and/or your magazine shouldn't be deplatformed. Is the idea that the causal chain isn't certain enough, but with Rogan it is? Why do you think that? Or just that coronavirus is a bigger deal?

What is the standard for deciding what is false? The CDC? The WHO? When a minority of scientists were arguing airborne spread, contrary to the CDC and WHO, they could have been accused of spreading false info at the time, no?

This gives the very strong impression of being a somewhat straw-grasping ex post facto rationalization.

The emergency never ends if we keep saying "it's an emergency!" every five minutes, which it is all of our duties now to do.

Have thousands a day not been dying of heart conditions and/or cancer? Claims that these are not "normal political times" are only true because people like

A half million children die every single year from vitamin A deficiency which can be largely alleviated with genetically modified Yellow Rice
