There's a graphic novel to be done about how the newsboy strike shook up the world of Hearst and Pulitzer. A really amazing moment of history. And they won.

Well, I was gonna bring up how all versions Kirby's Newsboy Legion delight me and ask about "Newsies." I looked it up. Turns out "Newsies" *is* about the strike and the 1992 movie w/ young Christian Bale predates the Broadway musical. The story would definitely be a good GN.

Yeah, Newsies deals with it. But the real story is so amazing. Hearst and Pulitzer hired gangsters to break the strike and beat up the boys. But the strikers won their major demands.
