Not a bad ranking but I'd say: 1. A Serious Man. 2. Miller's Crossing 3. Fargo. Although Big Lebowski, Llewyn Davis, Barton Fink, all have plausible claims on top 3https://twitter.com/TheBigPic/status/1484666190601474049 …

I always find i rate True Grit higher than most. Love that movie.
100% agree, but as Ethan was not really involved, should it be on this list?
I thought Denzel’s performance didn’t have enough emotion and his line readings were too perfunctory. But the Expressionist production design was fabulous.
I think part of the problem is that the movies are so contextual. Does serious man hit as hard of you haven’t read or studied the book of Job, or don’t know any Midwestern Jews? Buster Briggs was amazing if you’ve watched Mix, Leone and Peckinpah. If you haven’t, was it good?
Doesn't belong on this list since only one of the Coens worked on it anyway.
I've only seen about half, but it was my favorite Coen movie, I think.
Fink at #1, it's the thesis for all their other work.
