That's a ridiculous take, because specifically, nobody could have made Blazing Saddles as good as Mel Brooks did. He was literally the funniest writer-director in Hollywood at the time.

There's a lot of areas of life where you really aren't changing the output very much by imposing these sorts of rules, but in the arts, it literally can be the case that there's only one Mozart, one Picasso, one Mel Brooks.
