In particular, Anglo Protestant Canadians in the US married their Anglo Protestant American neighbors and raised unmarked children.

But even French Canadians and their descendants, who were once an identifiable ethnic bloc especially in New England, have now largely assimilated. Even those families that retain ethnic identities, it’s hard to imagine their being mobilized politically as “Canadian Americans.”
