I agree. We don't have a lot of footage of them jamming in the studio throughout their career, but I will bet a shiny dime this kind of stuff was not uncommon.

Oh, please! George was bored for a bit while Paul was pounding his bass and searching for a melody. He didn't "compose" Get Back in a few minutes! it wasn't even close to a composition at that point. And Ringo looked equally bored and unimpressed.

I'm a huge Beatles fan, and that scene was exciting to watch in retrospect, but it would've been a pretty dull moment at a session.
