Why doesn't Richard Rorty get wrongly blamed for CRT, like all the other thinkers who get wrongly blamed for CRT? Even Kant gets blamed! I mean: Rorty's anti-realism used to give people fits. Shouldn't people still wrongly blame him for Western Civ-killing epistemic nihilism?

@Adrian_Rutt and I discussed this some in etv154. He does seem to fit in a lot of ways philosophically but he’s not the right kind of big bad for reactionary conservatism. -
And more to the point, Rorty spent a decent amount of time arguing that these largely academic pursuits were overblown with respect to their utility in providing people with better material circumstances (again, overblown, not totally unnecessary).
