The liberals I was thinking about were not ones in the trenches who have been fighting this for years but the strategists and pundits who argue overturning Roe will benefit Dems, demobilize anti-choice people, etc.
The Clinton campaign had far more power to influence national debate than Susan Sarandon. It's not the same thing at all.

Other than hoping internally to run against the most unelectable potential opponent, how did they “elevate Trump”? I get that there was a memo about elevating pied piper candidates, but I don’t know how or when Clinton/Dems did things that helped Trump win votes in the primary?
