I feel like all these people tweeting that they would break the law or violate human decency if their siblings needed help are pretty much begging for people to examine their past.

I think in part its a response to the "Aw gee shucks I'm just a simple good guy who wants everybody to be nice and listen" persona that CNN cultivated as CC's brand.
