I think it’s because it genuine seems less racist to blame this phenomenon (which they regard as a terrible thing) on white people. It’s a similar dynamic to social conservatives blaming the Sexual Revolution/abortion rights movements on men trying to take advantage of women.
Okay -- I could be wrong -- I just thought his account of Lincoln seemed very Jaffa-ite (and he publishes with Claremont). But as I said, there are different paths to the same conclusion.

Hey, it could be that he read Crisis of the House Divided and it influenced him. But it does seem that, in terms of his educational pedigree, he came from a different place originally.

Yeah, what's perhaps interesting is the way different intellectual traditions (Randians, Straussians, evangelicals & Catholics) are converging on same point.
