I don't understand why anyone thinks they will be able to duck @IChotiner 's hard questions. I love his interviews as a reader, but I don't understand why anyone agrees to be his subject.

Hubris? Also I’m not sure how many of those interviews have actually led to any negative repercussions for the interviewees. I doubt the Trumpy retired general is going to lose anything from it, for instance.

Same. But sometimes he just interviews experts on topics he finds interesting and it's not the kind of gotcha interview that everyone loves reading.
