There's a fair bit of science fiction imagining future incarnations of Catholicism, Mormonism, Islam, and Judaism (not to mention imagined religions). But, unless I'm missing something, not much Protestant futurism. I wonder why that is.

One of the creators of Star Trek, Mack Reynolds, was a member of the Trotskyist Socialist Workers Party (his father Verne was leader in the 20's) & he said that's why there's no capitalism or class in Star Trek. Christianity does pop up a few times though.

I know Mack Reynolds. Didn't know he worked on Star Trek. It's set in a post-scarcity economy, yes.
