These are books that are shelved by libraries and then challenged by the public? (I.E., not counting books librarians never order in the first place?)

Each of these books is an opportunity to engage students about real life situations they may find themselves in. Most students will have found themselves in these situations well before the school system deems it age appropriate to deal with it.

Who made the etched in stone declarations about why the books were challenged or banned?? Are we to believe every time it happened the EXACT same reason was given for each specific book??
