There's some truth to this. In general Sinema is very much a creature of the 1990s and early 2000s -- with her third party roots (Greens), deficit mania, "bipartisanship" etc.https://twitter.com/CoreyRobin/status/1443068089986396160 …

But if she’s Green … shouldn’t she want more than the bill provides?

No individual US Senator is going to be the lightning rod that takes the blame on themselves for shutting down the government/defaulting on the national debt (one will lead to the other). No matter how wacky and untethered. Won’t happen.

I think she would, and wonder why she wasn't being praised for it.

I honestly think people credit the DNC with more power than it actually has, Individual state parties are basically independent of the national party if they want to be, and it shows. The DNC doesn’t mean jack squat to a Manchin or Sinema if they can win their state primary.

AZ Democratic Party just passed a resolution condemning her for her behavior. She’s in trouble if they primary her.

Sinema has always had contempt for the Democratic party. I recall her saying herself that the only reason she ran as a Democrat was because it was the only way she could win a senate seat.

And yet, when she's up for reelection, she'll have the full weight of the DSCC behind her to protect her in the primary.

No, I don't think so. Not after screwing over Schumer.
