His argument was that a parent limiting the "bodily autonomy" of a child is inherently oppressive. Surely you can see how people might construe that wrt sex. You might argue that's an unfair leap, but it's not like this came out of left field during a disagreement about taxes

The question isn't which is morally worse (they're both bad) but which is a more accurate characterization. When you're accusing someone, it's important to be accurate.

You are conflating "abuser" and "pedophile." But that's not what this was about: you guys were up in arms that people dared call Berlatsky a pedophile. You think it's out-of-bounds to call someone who works for a place that recruits 13yos to "MAP support groups" a pedophile?

Yeah, I feel like working for an organization like Prostasia is bad enough that you don't need to throw in other language that, in common parlance, does in fact mean abuser. Characterizing Berlatsky accurately is already devastating.
