I agree with this in that I agree that he’s a little piggy that gets off on being yelled at—but to be involved with this specific group for this long indicates he has at least some agreement with their positions

It's not an excuse for working for the organization. It's a characterization of how I think Berlatsky relates to ideas. But, really, his motive/ideas are irrelevant. Real distinction is between what he's genuinely at fault for (working for bad organization) & accusation
