That’s fair. It does seem to me Paul fits the white savior trope enough to out-Fremen the Fremen, but I understand in the next couple novels it all goes to poop, according to reports I’ve seen

Now you’ve got me thinking of a subversion of the white savior trope though. TWG comes in, renounces his allegiance, takes up the cause, becomes increasingly prominent. The indigenous leadership lets this happen because he takes the focus of the empire.
