At this point I don't believe there's any silver bullet genius messaging strategy that could possibly convince anti vaxxers. Even Trump endorsing it in a live Fox interview barely moved the needle. They've made their choice and should live with the consequences of it.

You'd think all the "I wasn't getting vaccinated until my husband/daughter/wife got Covid and almost died please don't let this happen to you" stories this week. It feels like these people would get pandered to only to arrive at the same place. It really is heartbreaking

I think it’s the responsibility of the author to at least make a gesture as to what the secret combination of magic conjuring words might be.

They didn't because it's not really possible. Almost none will change their minds by argument. It's time, different types of pressure, requiring it, etc. If we want it to happen we need to make it uncomfortable not to.
