There are limits for "regressions" but I am curious what a regression with violence be when you account for guns in state, guns in zipcode, guns in other countries with similar fine tooth comb of the data. Or is there a better explanatory variable than what is in this tweet.

I work in Canada with a high Opioid use street population. I've anecdotally seen an increase in violence as people get increasingly desperate. The violence tends to be assaults and stabbings due to the decreased access to guns
