Um, the idea that the Iraq war was only supported by "neocons and the Israel lobby" is a Buchananite fantasy. Bush & war were very popular on right.

If there was a mass opposition of right to Bush on war, it would have expressed itself electorally (as left opposition to LBJ's foreign policy famously did in 1968). Buchananites were a tiny minority on right in 2004 by every measure.
