Idea: save money on election costs by competitive bidding between reality TV producers, who then acquire the rights to 'run it'. Alternatively, it's really a sporting event held, say, every 4 years: the Shambolympics.

Your tweet is misleading. it is never as 'opposed to independent agency'. All contesting parties can send at least one representative to oversee the counting. But no, the counting of votes is done by an independent agency, the IEC
