This is absolute nonsense. This is either a bad faith argument, or a serious indictment of this persons' reading comprehension.https://twitter.com/HeerJeet/status/1409742328861020166 …

He was very clearly saying “this is a valid concern that parents might have about their kids, but not a good argument for banning discussion of certain ideas.” Which is almost exactly what he’s said about “safe spaces” in the past.

Well, that’s funny, because I happen to have Mr. Lukianoff right here…https://youtu.be/vTSmbMm7MDg

1/2 First it's absurd to pretend that 1. Creating a "safe space" for college students, who are adults, so they are not exposed to the stress of even hearing an idea Is the same as saying 2. teachers should not be shaming 8 year old children on the basis of race during class
-
2/2 Clearly adults are not the same as children and universities are not the same as grade 3. Second,
@glukianoff is talking about the motives of *other* people for passing laws that, in many cases, he actually doesn't agree with. I think all of this is perfectly clear.

Since you made an accusation you should take the trouble to explain exactly what Lukianoff said that is an argument for safe spaces. I read the entire thread and I think you are mistaken.
