That's also true of fascists in general since the 1920s!

You've both drifted away from Jeet's claim that Pound's politics per se are taught in (presumably North American) universities. Still waiting for three examples and so far have seen none. Is it possible you'd like to revise your earlier claim?

This whole exchange is a reminder of tedious it is to converse with someone who doesn't know anything and constantly reinterprets words beyond their meaning (i.e. Poundians = contemporary American professors). I will go back to ignoring.

The original post was about universities, as many have pointed out to you, and as you surely know. This is a transparent dodge and ignoring it won't change that fact.

"Many" = the gang of anonymous trolls who mysteriously pop up whenever anyone challenges your attempts to muddy the water. Very curious about those guys.

Well, it might be tedious but I do think the right response to alot of these controversies is to say 1) yeah, that stuff is problematic 2) but person should not be cancelled. I mean, that's basically what I feel about all culture.

Well, on the plus side I think the cancel culture moment is now ending (we're in the CRT moment). Which means imperative to engage in cancel criticism of any give artist is likely to weaken.

I do think the cancel culture moment made me (and perhaps other critics) too defensive in trying to pre-address anticipated objections -- my big Roth piece will try to work around that.
