Some are secular, but yes others are religious people heirs to a tradition of quietism that opposed abolition, civil rights, anti-racism etc.

Can I just simply be an atheist, someone who doesn't believe in things without evidence or logic, and leave it at that?

It also doesn't have a holy text, congregations, or any kind of central authority. So like… regardless of anyone's opinions on religion, it's not one.

Religion is also specifically aimed at questions and answers about life and death and so-called "wokeism" does not address these questions. Ideology, which "wokeism" may be, is not religion. (The "new religion" stuff is also old Red Scare shit.)

I’m religious (Catholic), so I don’t see anything wrong with religion. ‘Wokeism is a religion’ means to me that it should be treated like all religions: respected, and free for anyone to practice, but also kept away from any formal political or state power.

I have no issue with Religion, it is engaged in a project that I'm not that interested in, Protestantism continued the Liberal project of individualizing folks, not so convinced this was as productive looking back
