The current outrage cycle in right wing media is neither in response to DeAngilo nor law school CRT. It's a manufactured moral panic cycle. https://www.nbcnews.com/news/us-news/critical-race-theory-invades-school-boards-help-conservative-groups-n1270794 … https://www.washingtonpost.com/education/2021/06/19/critical-race-theory-rufo-republicans/ …

Stop worrying over the decisions of who is an Enemy of the Revolution, Comrade. Just be sure that there are plenty of them to be found and further discussion will hinder our duty to round them up.

You didn't read what I said. I never defended DEI. I said that the current outrage cycle is not about DeAngilo's stuff. It's instead targeting whatever a right wing propagandists claims is CRT.

It doesn't matter whose fault it is nor who did what first; centrist contrarians are facing a hijacking of the anti-CRT movement. Downplaying the hijacking as a minor problem over definitions, saying both sides are bad, and quibbling about blame won't stave it off.

A lot of the so called "reasonable criticism" is filled with hyperbole, hysteria and even outright lies. So hard to take seriously.
