As someone who had read a bunch of scientific papers about uranium mines in ex-French West Africa, it was the statement about buying uranium in Niger that convinced me that all of those WMD claims were bogus

But in 2002 (if Twitter were around) I’d imagine stories skeptical of WMDs would be censored or flagged as they contradicted official sources which is similar to lab leaked theories being censored and flagged in 20/21 as they contradicted official sources. Thoughts?
