Sure, but the era of bipartisanship was the era that saw the passage of the most far-reaching and robust progressive legislation in US history, and the ascent of the middle class. Even if they’re mistaking correlation for causation, of course people look back on it fondly.

The progress in that era of bipartisanship mainly took place in period where GOP was electorally crushed: 1932-1938, 1964-1966. So not sure if bipartisanship should deserve the credit!
