The problem with this conversation is that saying “UFOs are real” is obviously true if taken literally, but a good chunk of people think it means “aliens are real.” Meanwhile, believers in aliens also express that belief by saying “UFOs are real.”https://twitter.com/chrislhayes/status/1394764297880879109 …
The deniers like West still say the videos are optical illusions. I don't think the military agrees.

optical illusion would suggest human perception whereas may people talk about the photographic & video evidence has having (or they cannot be sure they are not having) photographic or digital artifactshttps://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Visual_artifact …

It's more than purely an *optical* illusion if they were able to track these things with radar and infrared. It'd have to be a broad EM spectrum illusion.pic.twitter.com/kkKZNwcGku

Or the radar's fucked up?

it literally says "Balloons" in the military's own release documentation on the "GoFast" videos and others https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PLyEO0jNt6M&t=254s …pic.twitter.com/tHar465Bxh

West also hand waves away all eyewitness testimony as well. Which yes, eyewitness testimony is not the most reliable but it’s irresponsible to wave it all away as irrelevant.

The "pyramid" and "submerging sphere" videos look pretty plainly like airplanes. The pyramid follows an air route at airplane speed, and blinks at the same intervals as aircraft navigation lights. And the stars in the background are the same triangle shape due to bokeh
-
And if you go frame-by-frame and correct for the wobbly camera, the "sphere" looks like a round infrared glare, as a plane would produce, moving at steady speed, that disappears (shrinking, as an IR glare would) when it goes over the horizon.
