Thinking about UFOs and ETs is fun & I don't want to be a party pooper but this 60 Minutes segment (like a lot of 60 Minutes segments) is an extended brief for a bigger Pentagon budget.https://www.cbsnews.com/news/ufo-military-intelligence-60-minutes-2021-05-16/ …

Are there technological civilizations on other planets? Almost certainly. Are they visiting earth? Really unlikely but who knows? Are airplane pilots all over the world seeing/recording unexplainable things? Yes. Does Marco Rubio want to use this for more military spending? Yes

On the plus side, the American elite is pretty hungry for an external threat to unite a fracturing society and a good UFO scare is a more benign alternative to a Cold War with China. Alan Moore was right!

The Pentagon budget increases every year, anyway. Let us have our aliens!

What if we gave the money to NOAA or NASA instead and used those satellites to figure out what was going on?

And why didn’t all those satellites that can take photos of my license plates pick these up?
